Photographs of Mount Everest from Tibet
This a selection of my photographs taken on a trip to Tibet in 2004.
We were very lucky with the weather, Everest was initially covered in cloud. We stayed overnight at the North Face Base Camp and were rewarded with perfect skies the following day.
The environment at Base Camp is harsh, it is situated at an altitude of 5100m, doing any kind of physical exercise is extremely tiring. The walk from Rongbuk to Base Camp (due to the road being closed) was exhausting but also exhilarating as the great mountain drew closer.
